RE: How To Choose A Font (Late)
I thought this reading was interesting... kind of. I normally would not think so deeply about text to be really honest. Usually I think I would just go with a font I already know and slap it on there. Of course, where it goes and the size would matter but I would not have even thought twice about how a different font would have been more suitable. This stuff is a bit dry in my opinion but I do think if you are considering working with type, the smaller aspects are very important. There are a lot of people who sort of know intuitively what looks good and what works with one another, but it is useful to be able to put into words why something is good and what makes it work so well, this also helps you to improve what you make because you know what types (pun intended) of things to look for that could make or break whatever you are creating, and choose something more appropriate.
